ORIENTATION PROGRAMME

The positive involvement of parents play a major role for the holistic development of a child. In order to encourage a high level of parental involvement and to give a sneak peek into the Kindergarten philosophy, an Orientation Programme was organized for the new parents of our students of Grade Pre-Nursery and LKG at DAV Public School, Sector 49, Gurugram on 16.03.2019.

School Principal, Ms. Charu Maini accorded a warm welcome to the parents and congratulated them on being a part of DAV Fraternity. Her polite demeanor and magnificence of words reverberated in the auditorium as she explained the role a parents plays in grooming of a child.  She called for more involvement and timely feedback from the parents so that the learning process is improved upon. She inspired the parents to be role models for their little ones and carry the legacy forward for the future generations.

Supervisory Head of Pre-Primary Wing, Ms. Timsy Bhatia, conducted the session for the parents. She accentuated the fact that Kindergarten is the most glorious period of a child’s life. Formative years help in forming habits and attitudes which serve as a foundation for a child’s development. She urged the parents to be the mentors, Gurus of their children and infuse in them pride, self-discipline, commitment and integrity.

Parents were also told about the School’s philosophy on Thematic and Integrated approach to make learning a pleasurable experience. Ideas were exchanged on how parents can make a significant contribution in enriching their child’s development by building their confidence and self-esteem. It was a momentous occasion to see the overwhelming response from the parents and their active participation during the Interactive Session.
