‘Look beyond boundaries…explore more possibilities…understand and respect diversities..’
We at D.A.V. Public School, Sector-49, Gurugram have taken another leap by adding international dimension and global outlook to our curriculum. We feel extremely delighted to share that we have been awarded the British Council’s prestigious International School Award 2019-22, in recognition of our work to bring the world into the classroom.
The British Council International School Award (ISA) is a benchmarking scheme that accredits schools as having an outstanding level of support for nurturing global citizenship in young people and enriching teaching and learning experiences.
The School’s international work includes collaborative projects with schools in Nigeria and South Korea covering diverse areas like Culture, Games, Food and Eating Habits, Waste Water Management, etc. It provided ample of opportunities to our students to know and respect the diverse culture beyond boundaries.
Our journey to ISA enabled us to explore the teaching-learning patterns of other countries and incorporate the same in our approach and technique of imparting tutelage to our bourgeoning DAVians. The multifarious tasks were undertaken during the session to provide enjoyable opportunities which metamorphosed the teaching –learning experience . It also gave us a chance to peep into the vast culture of other countries.
Activities like celebrating international days, festivals, Science Exhibition, food carnival, World Fashion Show, gave a wide range of opportunities to our students to broaden their horizons and instil a multicultural understanding. It helped us in developing a growing awareness, respecting differences and developing tolerance for other religions and cultures. This is just a beginning, we intend to take it further to another level offering infinite opportunities to our students to learn, explore and grow.
