Incredible Indian Odyssey

India is one of the most ethnically and culturally diverse regions of the world. The culture of India refers collectively to the thousands of distinct and unique cultures of all religions and communities present in India. India's languages, religions, dance, music, architecture, food and customs differ from place to place within the country. In order to acquaint the children with the culture of various states of our country, a special parent walk-in program was organized by the students of class IV and V. The theme of the program was ‘The Incredible Indian Odyssey.’

The vibrant doorways beckoned the parents to enter the state and once inside they were lost in the natural beauty of the state, its music, language, songs and dances etc. The students made oral presentations on various aspects of the state like location, climate, industries, clothes, language, cuisine etc. The classrooms were decorated with paintings related to the state, sketches of famous personalities, handicraft items and traditional clothes of the state. The students entertained the parents with a variety of items such as plays, talk shows, comedy skits, traditional dances, songs in regional languages etc. The presentations were entertaining as well as educative. The parents very highly impressed by the amazing performances and couldn’t stop praising the poise and confidence of the students even as they performed in regional languages. The program was attended by a huge number of parents who went away with a smile on their faces after watching it. The Incredible Indian Odyssey proved that India’s true beauty lies in its diversity.
