CONFERENCIA 2019

In the second chapter of Intra-school MUN Conferencia 2k19, the committees were power packed and on a whole an enjoyable day. The highlight of the days were the debates, with serious discussions to pointless discussions. The Delegates were all extravagantly dressed.

Three committees were devised among the 80 participants.

UNHRC- The Agenda was the Elimination of Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and related Intolerance in accordance to Durban Declaration and programme of action. Discussions and debates were held on the same on the first day. On the second day, solutions to curb violence and intolerance pertaining to Racism, Xenophobia were discussed by the Delegates.

UNW- The sessions started off with a drawn out description of the MUN procedures, followed by a roll call. On the first day, the delegates took time to contemplate and understand what exactly to talk about. On the first day, after the EB guided them, the level of debates improved commendably. Everyone participated. The IP session that was conducted was very fruitful and amazing.

AIPPM- The Agenda was Abrogation of Article 370 of the Constitution, One Nation One Constitution. On the first day, demerits and merits of the Abrogation of Article 370 were discussed. The second day started with a public session on ‘Kashmir then and now’ followed by a private sessions on CCA which was followed by another private session which constituted of questions from the opposition parties.

All in all, both the days were fun and enjoyable.

We aimed at not only helping the students become better informed citizens but also better human beings by the end of the conference.
