Present lockdown situation could not dampen the spirit of the students of DAV Public School, sector-49, Gurugram to celebrate World Book Day on 23.04.2020. To ignite the creative spark of the students of class XII, an online ‘Poem Analysis and Graphic Representation Competition’ was organized for them.  
 
In critical analysis, one looks both analytically and critically at a a poem and makes an argument about what the meaning of the story or poem is. The students participated in the competition with great zeal and enthusiasm and critically provided insight into the elements which make up the poem, such as diction, imagery, structure, rhyme, rhythm, the overall message and theme of the poem. They also gave graphic representation of the poem and took the whole competition to another level. 
 
With each image, they could also explain and analyze the relationship between image and text which augmented the understanding of the poem. Overall, it was a fruitful online competition which developed the aesthetic sense in the students.
