74th Independence Day

DAV Public School, Sector-49, Gurugram, was all abuzz with festivity as the school was immersed in online celebrations of 74th Independence Day on 15 August 2020. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Sh. Yogesh Munjal Ji, Vice Chairman, DAV Public School, Sector-49, Gurugram.  Mrs. Adarsh Kohli, Manager, DAV Public School, Sector-49, Gurugram also graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. The program was hosted by the Head Boy of the School, Jatin Phogat and the Vice Head Girl, Surbhi Yadav. The program began with the chanting of gayatri mantra followed by welcome address by the Head Boy, Jatin Phogat. The Principal, Mrs. Charu Maini hoisted the national flag and enlightened the audience with her inspiring speech to take our nation towards peace and prosperity. She also highlighted the importance of maintaining cleanliness and spreading positivity for benefit of all. The orchestra won the accolades of one and all with their marvellous rendition. The tiny toddlers of Class I presented vivid role plays on Rani Lakshmi Bai, Sarojini Naidu and Bhagat Singh. The students of the Senior wing presented speeches expressing their deep patriotism, paying tribute to our motherland and saluting the martyrs of our nation. The cultural program of dances and songs delighted all the viewers with the brilliant performances. The Manager of the School, Mrs. Adarsh Kohli motivated the students to keep working hard and achieve greater heights. The Vice Chairman of the School, Sh. Yogesh Munjal Ji inspired the students with his pearls of wisdom. He inspired them to be responsible citizens and to bring glory to their institute and the nation. He also released the school newsletter- Spandan, which catalogues the achievements of the students. Vote of thanks was proposed by the Vice Head Boy, Rishi Dhoble and the Head Girl of the school, Lavanya Ahalawadi. The program concluded with gallery walk of the school in which the students of Senior Secondary classes recreated the art works to salute the artists whose works went unnoticed during the freedom struggle. On the whole it was a memorable celebration of the spirit of unity in diversity and liberty.
