REPUBLIC DAY 2021

The 72nd Republic Day was celebrated online with great zeal and enthusiasm by D.A.V Public School, Sector-49, Gurugram on 27th January, 2021. The programme was graced by distinguished guests – Mr. Yogesh Munjal, Vice Chairman of the School, Mr. VP Bajaj, Member of the School Management Committee, Mrs. Adarsh Kohli, Manager of the School, Mrs. Anju Puri, Principal, Dav Vasant Kunj and Mrs. Anita Ahuja, Principal, Suraj Bhan DAV Public School. The programme was attended online by the entire school community, teachers, students and parents. The celebrations started with the chanting of gayatri mantra followed by address by the Principal, Mrs. Charu Maini.  She inspired the students to keep striving to be the best version of themselves, to be great patriots, leading the country to prosperity. A soul- stirring rendition of ‘Nanna Munna Rahi Hu’ was presented by LKG students to set the tempo for the day. Students from UKG presented poems that brought alive the patriotic spirit of the day. The ambience was filled with rhythm and melody as the instrumentalists from classes VI to X struck their chords in unison to express their patriotic fervour. Sanchita Gupta and Pravit Bhatia of grade XI presented impressive speeches that spoke eloquently of how the young generation of India is committed to the cause of India’s progress and development. Dance performance by the tiny toddlers, had the audience tapping their feet to the beat. To infuse the feelings of dedication and loyalty in one and all, the LKG students performed role plays that reminded everyone of the priceless contribution of the great martyrs of our nation. The musicians from middle school presented a mesmerising song which not only entertained the audience, but also filled their hearts with patriotic passion. Students from grades II to VII came together and gracefully performed a beautifully choreographed dance drama “Jaaga Hindustan” to enhance the charm of the show. The Chief Guest, Mr. Yogesh Munjal, Vice Chairman of the School, motivated the students and stressed on the importance of facing new challenges to lead our country on the path of progress. Mr. VP Bajaj, Member of the School Management Committee also showered his blessings on the students. A heartfelt vote of thanks was proposed by Mrs. Priya Bhandari. It was an event full of memories worth cherishing.
