EARTH DAY CELEBRATION
Earth day is celebrated on 22 April every year with an aim to spread awareness about the pressing needs of our planet and how small steps can bring positive changes in the world.
To fulfill the promise of saving our environment, DAV Public School, Uppal’s Southend, Sector-49, Gurugram celebrated Earth Day through virtual mode. The students of Grade 7 and 8 presented an enlightening assembly and motivated everyone with their thought provoking ideas on how to save our planet.
On the commemoration of Earth Day, the school has taken a global initiative to save the planet by introducing, ‘Schools of World Climate Action Project’. As a part of the project, students of Grade 6 to 8 will collaborate with Kingswood Academy, a leading school of United Kingdom and explore the ways to curb climate change. Our School Principal, Ms Charu Maini declared the project open. She also appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers for celebrating this day with zeal and zest and encouraged them to be the green warriors and make a headway.
