‘A country that does not take pride in its language and literature can never progress.' (Dr. Rajendra Prasad)
Hindi is one of the official languages of the Republic of India. It's a language that is ancient yet evolving continuously with the times. It has mass appeal and is therefore learnt and spoken by millions of people all over our country and abroad. To celebrate the beauty of this amazing language, DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL, SECTOR-49, GURUGRAM celebrated 'Hindi Week'. As a part of this celebration, an online Hindi Olympiad was organised for classes III to V on 7 July 2021. It was a mass competition in which all the students took part with full enthusiasm. They were required to solve a variety of multiple choice questions based on spellings, grammar, vocabulary and correct usage of the language. It was really encouraging to see the students display such deep understanding of Hindi. It was a closely contested competition that reiterated not only the students' love for Hindi but also their dedication towards mastering the various nuances of this lovely language. Vidit Arora (III C), Enakshi Kharb (IV B) and Aanandi (V D) won the First Prize, Varnika Rathi (III C), Peehu Saxena (IV D) and Harshit Jangra (V D) won the Second Prize, Diya Gupta (III E), Poorvi Pratyusha Sahu (IV C) and Yashika Yadav (V A) won the Third Prize.
