Janmashtami is the celebration of Lord Krishna's birthday. Lord Krishna is not just another Hindu deity, but he's a part of our nation's collective consciousness. Tales of his miraculous birth, his naughty and blissful childhood, his heroic adolescence and wise adulthood are known by one and all. This year Janmashtami was celebrated on 30^th  August. To mark this happy occasion the students of classes III to V of DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL, SECTOR-49, GURUGRAM participated in various art and craft activities such as making flutes, decorative pots and wall hangings. The students used their imagination to bring to life various aspects of Lord Krishna's life -- the flute which he loved to play, the pot holding butter represents his love for food and his mischievous childhood and the wall hanging with his serene face and crown with a peacock feather gives the message of love and peace.
