Vedas are the essence of life and an integral part of our existence. They inspire us to lead higher lives. To know the true meaning of Vedic Vision of Education, an online session for all the teachers on ‘Goal of Education-Vedic Vision’ was organized by DAV Public School, Uppal’s Southend, Sector-49, Gurugram under the able guidance of Sh. Prabodh Mahajan Ji, Vice President DAVCMC and Chairman DAV Public School, Uppal’s Southend, Sector-49, Gurugram.Prof. Shashi Prabha Kumar presently Dean, Sri Sankaracharya Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, New Delhi was the guest speaker for the session. During the session she laid emphasis on ‘Education for Happiness- tarti shokam atmavid- which means one who has got an understanding of self, will always be happy. Everyone should know their strengths and work on them, work with them, take cognizance of their weaknesses and understand their limitations. She motivated everyone to be the best version of themselves and go from good to great. Her words encouraged everyone to live in harmony with nature and build a strong connection with each element of the cosmos. Vedic philosophy which states that humans are one link in the symbiotic life in balance with- Material, Plant and Animal World was also beautifully explained. She reiterated the responsibilities of an ideal teacher to induce the emotional bonding of students with nature so as to take care of the environment and also help in shaping up the lives of young minds.The session left everyone awestruck as the very learned, humane and illustrious like her name, speaker of the day connected the whole NEP while reciting the shlokas from Upanishads and Vedas. After listening to the inspirational words of Ms. Kumar, both Chairman Sir, Sh. Prabodh Mahajan ji and Principal, Ms. Charu Maini were spellbound.
