Mother’s Day is a time to celebrate everything that our moms mean to us. While it’s not the only occasion we honor our mothers, it is one that lets the most important woman in our lives know just how greatly she is appreciated.
The students of Class VB organised a Special Assembly on 10 May as a tribute to all mothers. The assembly started with the chanting of the auspicious Gayatri Mantra followed by the school prayer. Then the morning news was read and the thought of the day was said which set the tone for the whole assembly. Ms. Charu Maini, the principal of the school was welcomed onto the stage to a rousing applause. She was presented with a beautiful bouquet of handmade flowers. She extended a warm welcome to all the parents and showered her blessings on the students. A few students shared their heartfelt thoughts about their mothers which moved the audience and especially the invited guest mothers to tears. The vocabulary building words were read to boost the wordpower of the students. After that a soothing melodious song was sung by the songbirds of the class. It was a beautiful performance thoroughly enjoyed by all. Then the Prize Distribution ceremony for the World Book Day competitions was held. Ms. Priya Bhandari, the Supervisory head of the Primary wing offered the vote of thanks. She congratulated all the students for their wonderful assembly and expressed her gratitude to all the mothers and fathers who attended the assembly for their gracious presence.
