D.AV. Public School, sector-49, Gurugram orgainized an inter school programme, in association with Medanta- The medicity and Municipal Corporation of Gurugram, to sensitize the school students about the preventions to be taken to eradicate dengue. Through this programme of IEC, .e, Information, Education and Communication, the school aims to a dengue free Gurugram.

The chief guest of the programme was Mr. B.K Rajora, the Chief Medical Officer of Gurugram, Among the other esteemed guests, there were Mr. Sudhir Chauhan, the senior Town Planner of MCG, Dr. Pawan Kumar, Deputy CMO of Gurugram, Dr. Pooja Sharma, Senior scientist in Medanta Institute of Education and Research and Dr. Shubhank Singh, Project Lead, Mission Stop Dengue from Medanta- the Medicity.

After the ceremonial lighting of lamp, the blessings of almighty were invoked through a vandana. Then three inter school events on the theme' Join Hands to Fight Dengue' were conducted- Poster making and Slogan Writing, Power Point Presentation and Nukkad Natak. Students from different schools participated in the events with great zeal and enthusiasm. The judges and audience were enthralled with the splendid performances of the students.

All the dignitaries applauded the efforts taken by the Principal, Mrs. Charu Maini to take the initiative of taking forward the baton of spreading awareness and sensitizing the young generation with 'Mission Fight Dengue 2017'.
