We at D.A.V. Public School, Sector-49, Gurugram always strive hard to provide new avenues for overall development of the children. In this endeavour we have joined our hands with Times Nie in association with Tropicana and Smile Foundation in their 'Gift A Tree ' campaign.

The initiative aims to spread awareness about importance of planting trees. It embodies a powerful thought of gifting  trees back to nature. It is an honest effort to help children understand the need to safeguard the environment for their future.

As a part of the campaign a plantation drive was conducted in the school premises on 22.12.17. Almost 200 students of our school along with the students of Smile Foundation planted 20 saplings to save our mother earth. The school Principal, Ms. Charu Maini, planted a sapling and showed her gratitude for the NGO people who are working for this noble cause. Tropicana also provided juices to the students. Smile Foundation gifted  five books titled ' A Tree Named Ganga' to the school.
