'Books open your mind, broaden your mind, and strengthen you as nothing else can.......'

A book fair, organised by 'Scholastic India' was held from 11 December to 16 December  2017 in the school premises. The wave went loud and clear that D.A.V. Public School, Sector-49, Gurugram believes in providing its students with holistic and informative literature to enrich their vocabulary. The fair was inaugurated by the school Principal, Ms. Charu Maini, who always wants that the students should inculcate reading habits in themselves.

The entire student community enjoyed the fair and browsed books varying from science to spooky stories; from puzzles to poems; and from fiction to facts. The teachers equally helped the children in selecting the books. It saw an overwhelming response from students and parents who had come to attend the PTM.

The highlight of the week was the 'Character Parade'  where the students of Primary Wing dressed up  as their favourite book character. Our hope with this parade was not only promote the excitement of reading, but to show the community our desire to share a healthy, scholastically nurturing and fun activity. The parents were captivated by the performance of the upcoming artists.
