SALAD MAKING COMPETITION

“Let your taste buds know the treasures stored across the world…”

Keeping in stride with our vision to create global citizens, D.A.V. Public School, Sec-49, Gurugram organized an Inter House Salad Making Competition on 20 April 2018 for the students of classes VI-VIII. It was an exhibition to behold the colours, tastes and preparations of salad made around the world. Each house was allotted one country and the students had to work upon giving a glimpse of that country. The countries were- India, Nigeria, China, Italy, Russia and France. Each team had one student dressed up in the traditional attire of the country given to them.

The students were also made to do research on the food habits of different countries. The event was a great success as it gave tremendous knowledge and exposure to the students.

The winners of the competition from Kirti house which represented Nigeria were: Lorena Kundalwal, Kriti Kamra, Bhavya Taneja, Priya Dahiya and Ashumika Shukla. Shakti House got a special mention for the category of “Most Amazing Flavour”, the participants were- Rishit Menon, Janvi Bhardwaj, Mahak Yadav, Daksh Kathuria and Nishita Bansal. The participating teams also wrote articles telling about their experiences and learning through the competition. These articles were shared with our partner school.
