		GPSC PRINCIPAL’S MEET 2022

		‘When everyone moves forward together, success takes care of itself.’DAV Public School , Sec 49, Gurugram hosted The GPSC Principal’s Meet on 30 August 2022 . The 21st Century Learning Competencies with the focus on Creative and Critical thinking, Collaboration and Communication, was the theme of the conference.The GPSC Founder members Ms. Suman Gulati, Mr P.K Jain, Ms. Anita Makkar,GPSC Senior Member Ms. Nirmal Yadav and the chairperson GPSC Ms. Rupa Chakravarty, Vice Chairperson GPSC Ms. Charu Maini, Secretary GPSC Ms. Alka Singh and Treasurer GPSC Ms. Rashmi Malik gave an auspicious start to this day by lighting the lamp. It was followed by a welcome song on the theme “ Pleasure of Giving and Growing Together” presented by the young singers of DAV Public School, Sec 49, Gurugram. The meeting was conducted in a hybrid mode where the Founder member Dr. Indu Khetarpal and Senior member Ms. Aditi Mishra had joined virtually.The Vice Chairperson and the event host Ms. Charu Maini welcomed the gathering and discussed the importance of imparting 21st century skills and how students can stay competitive in a changing job market. The Chairperson Ms. Rupa Chakravarty then deliberated on the same and introduced the new members in the council.Dr Vinnie Jauhari, Learning and Skills Lead at Microsoft Corporation Pvt Ltd and Ms Swatii Ganguly, Founder Director of Juana Technologies Pvt Ltd had graced the occasion as Guest Speakers. Ma’am Vinnie Jauhari in her address, highlighted the importance of education as it empowers learners. She further elaborated how purposeful education would make students creative and critical thinkers as well as responsible citizens of tomorrow. In the age of Artificial Intelligence, teachers need to keep abreast of these rapid changes. Schools need to develop technical learning centres to equip both students and teachers to become cognitive developers thereby creating autonomous and self motivated learners. To conclude,GPSC Vice Chairperson Ms. Charu Maini appreciated and expressed her gratitude for the dynamic efforts of all the Principal in coming together on a common platform and contributing to learning and growing together. The Vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Nidhi Tiwari, Principal, Ridge Valley School thus marking the closing of the meeting.
