SCIENCE RAP

'Climate Change' has become an existential threat and our action to combat this threat should be drastic and immediate. Hence, students have to play a pivotal role in spreading awareness about various environmental issues such as pollution, global warming, ecological imbalance and so on.                                                                                                                                     A 'SCIENCE RAP' competition was organised for the students of class IV and V on 9.12.2022. It was a selection based inter-house competition in which two students from each house participated. The young participants highlighted a gamut of pressing environmental issues such as global warming, loss of biodiversity, ever increasing levels of pollution, the need to save our environment and other topics like scientific processes, solar system, our scientists and the significance of scientific thinking through rap singing. All the participants were well versed in the genre of rap singing and adroitly presented their topics through foot-tapping songs. They impressed the judges with their creative compositions, jaw dropping backdrops and getups, clear, fluent and peppy rhythmic singing, appropriate props and overall concept of their presentations. Aradhya Sharma (V B) from Jyoti house won the First prize, Ayesha Sheikh (V C) from Preeti house won the Second prize, Paridhi Garg (IV E) from Jagriti house won the Third prize. Charvi Gupta (IV B) from Preeti house and Tanush Solanki (V C) from Neeti house won the Encouragement prize.
