Timeless tale of The Pied Piper of Hamelin (IV-V)

The Primary Wing of DAV Public School, Sector-49, Gurugram organized its Annual Day Celebration on 20July 2024. The event was a grand success, showcasing the talents and achievements of the students of classes IV and V and fostering a sense of community and pride among the participants.

This year’s cultural extravaganza was based on the timeless tale of The Pied Piper of Hamelin. The auditorium was beautifully adorned with colourful banners and thematic props, creating a visually appealing ambience. The presentation of The Pied Piper of Hamelin as a musical drama allowed the audience to relive the magic of this classic story and discover the deeper meanings it holds. It was an enchanting journey through time and space to the quaint little town of Hamelin, where music, mystery and life lessons waited for all. The cultural performances were a highlight of the event, with students showcasing their diverse talents in singing, dance, music and drama. The performances were truly entertaining and captivating. The participants had put in months of practice, and their dedication was evident in the seamless and captivating presentations.

Shri Anil Kumar Rao, IPS, Vice President DAV CMC, retired ADGP CID was the Chief Guest for the event. He was highly impressed by the spectacular cultural program and praised the efforts of the students and their mentors lavishly. In his address to the parents and teachers, he stressed upon the importance of right parenting skills and also praised DAV schools for doing a wonderful job of providing holistic education to students.

The function was also graced by the presence of Mrs. Adarsh Kohli, Manager of the school and Sister Celsa, Principal of Our Lady Fatima Convent School as guests of honour. Their presence added prestige to the event, and their encouraging words inspired all.

The Principal of the school, Ms. Charu Maini addressed the gathering and highlighted the achievements of DAV students in the session 2023-24. She particularly expressed her views on how we aim to create happy well-balanced individuals rather than mere career success and material growth.

The ‘Prize Distribution Ceremony’ where the achievements of all the academic prize winners were appreciated and awarded was a much-awaited part of the function. The parents were elated to see their wards on the stage and couldn’t stop applauding their wonderful achievements.

The Annual Day celebration was a resounding success, bringing together students, parents, teachers, and the whole school community. The event not only showcased the talents of young students but also strengthened the sense of unity and pride within the school community.
