A Career Counselling Session was conducted for the students of Classes XI and XII by DAV Public School, Sec 49 , Gurugram on 27May 2019 to dispel the doubts and qualms students had regarding various career choices after schooling. The session was presided over by Mr.  Deepak Madan, a mentor at Career Launcher having spent 19 years in education industry and Ms. Kokila Chopra, curently pursuing the 5 years Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) from IIM Indore.

Mr Deepak informed the students about various courses open to all streams such as Law, Mass Communication, B.Com, Hotel Management, Journalism and many others. The students were also made aware of the procedures and formalities required to get into best universities and colleges including various entrance examinations. Healso emphasised the significant role played by extracurricular activities in strengthening the portfolios of the students. Ms. Kokila also apprised students about the infrastructure and varied facilities available at IIM Indore and the expanse of exposure itprovides to the students.

It was an extremely enriching experience and an eye - opener and students wish to be a part of such workshops in the future as well. The seminar came to a close with an interaction of the students with the professional expert Mr. Deepak Chopra guiding them with best career choices. The session made sure that students feel they can ‘stay ahead of the curve’ with opportunities such as these to enlighten them.
