With the motive of enhancing scientific temperament, innovation and creativity among the young learners, DAV Public School, Sector -49, Gurugram celebrated online the VALEDICTORY CEREMONY of Tinkerfest 2020-2021 with great pomp and show. The programme was graced by Chief Guest, Ms. Meena Gagvani, a passionate STEAM educator, Ex- founder of nxt-Gen Skills, ex- ISRO scientist and Mentor of Change- NITI Aayog.

TINKERFEST  is a mega event wherein various DAV and non DAV schools from all over India marked their presence with fantabulous participation of more than 350 students  in 7 events that were- Maze O Mania, Toy Designing, Play from Scratch, Ideate and Create, 3-D Modelling,  Gain thy Grail and  Entreprenow. The celebrations commenced with the lighting of lamp followed by prayer dance, “Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah”, presented by students of class III to V.

The honourable Principal, Ms. Charu Maini encouraged the students to explore, to experiment and keep tinkering to learn with joy. It was followed by a visual treat of virtual walk through the Atal Tinkering Lab of the school and its commendable achievements since its inception. The students of class II held the audience spellbound with their delightful dance and also gave a strong message to face the challenging times of Covid. Ms.Smita Jain, PGT Physics and the ATL Incharge of the School initiated the announcement of result of various events. The Chief Guest, Ms. Meena Gagvani congratulated all the winners as well as the participants. She showered her blessings on all the participants, motivated them for their efforts and highlighted the importance of tinkering in the modern era. Ms. Smita Jain proposed the vote of thanks. The whole programme was a grand success as it reignited the spark of innovation and ingenuity among students.
