MENTAL HEALTH DAY
‘Mental health is not a destination, but a process. It’s about how you drive, not where you are going..’
To ingrain better awareness of mental health among the students of classes XI and XII, mental Health Day was celebrated in DAV Public School, Sector 49, Gurugram. The theme for the World Mental Health Day 2021 is 'mental health in an unequal world.' We observed this day by decoding our perceptions and digging little deep into knowing more about our worth and challenges. Before talking about others mental health or discussing it in general it is very important to self-introspect. By keeping this in view, the students of class XI and XII were provided with different activities to be more aware about their thoughts, feeling and perceptions.
Decoding Perceptions- International Activity
Students of Std XI of our school and our partner school of Kingswod Academy, UK interpreted a picture and shared their decoding of the visual image in the Padlet.
The best 15 interpretations were recorded and exchanged between the two schools on which a report was shared. This activity was instrumental in enhancing critical thinking, observation and interpretative skills of the students.
Know Thy Self- SWOT Analysis
“Self- reflection is a humble process. It’s essential to find out why you think, say, and do certain things…then better yourself.”
SWOT Analysis is a useful framework for analyzing your organization's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. It helps you to build on what you do well, to address what you're lacking, to minimize risks, and to take the greatest possible advantage of chances for success. Students of std XII did SWOT Analysis to be benefitted in different aspects of life. Through this activity, the students will be able to identify and analyze their internal strengths and weaknesses and develop a better understanding of their own self.
