Prevention is better than cure and vaccination indeed is the sine qua non for a COVID free India. It is the sole, safest and strongest shield against the microscopic virus posing a gigantic threat to the world. We are glad that this shield has now been extended to students between the age 15-18 years.. We are glad to share that DAVPS, Sector-49, Gurugram has been chosen as the first centre for COVID 19 vaccination of children aged 15-18 years in Gurugram.

To mark this momentous occasion,Dr Yash Garg IAS, the Deputy Commissioner of Gurugram lit the sacred lamp and marked the opening of the drive by blowing the conch. He thanked the parents for keeping faith and coming forward to help in making India COVID free. He also motivated the students to be the ambassador of this mega drive. The event was completed with the honorary presence of CMO, Dr Virender Yadav, Dr. MP Singh, Immunization Officer, Gurugram, Dr. JP Singh, Surveillance officer Covid, Gurugram, Dr Hardeep MO. Hundred students were successfully vaccinated on the first day with COVAXIN. DAV Public School Sector 49 is ready to play its part for a COVID Free India.
