                                                Poems are always beautiful and heart touching and nothing celebrates the beauty of this poetic form of expression more than poetry recital competitions. DAV Public School, Sector-49, Gurugram, organised a 'Poem Recitation' competition for the students of Class III on 25.04.22. It was a selection based inter-house competition in which two students per house participated. The theme of the competition was 'Save Earth'. All the participants recited lovely thought provoking poems that highlighted the burning issue of ecological imbalances faced by our planet and why it needs saving. They impressed the judges not only with their apt choice of poems, recitation skills and confidence levels but also with their colourful costumes, props and overall presentation skills. It was a closely contested competition in which participants from all the houses were well prepared. Advika Dawara (III C)  won the First prize, Vaishnavi Agarwal

(III B)  won the Second prize, Yuvika Garg (III D) and Khanak Sharma (III E) from won the Third prize, Agastya Jaitly (III B) and Kuval Grover (III C) jointly  won the  Encouragement prize.
