“Field trips are the great way to bring excitement and adventure to learning”-Amber D. Walker
DAV Public School, Sector 49, Gurugram, keeps making consistent and constant efforts to provide ample opportunities to the students to benefit from experiential learning. Our inquisitive scholars recently had a field trip to Temple, Post Office and Gurudwara as a part of an extension of the on-going topic Neighbourhood Places under the series ‘Know your Community’. The trip brought excitement and adventure to learning.
A well planned trip was an ideal way to introduce new skills and concepts to our learners. The trip helped children to reconnect with their roots, understand the traditions and values of their culture. They felt connected to their roots by having a chance to dine together and enjoying the relishing and sagely ‘langar’. Fun, excitement and palpations were on the rise as they spotted various stamps and letter box in the Post Office.
Organising such trips help the scholars to widen their horizon of learning. Such trips are certainly the reflection of school’s effort of ensuring holistic development of all the students and preparing them for life.
