DAV Public School, Uppal Southend, Sector-49, Gurugram joined hands with the Times of India group and conducted a workshop on “Organ Donation” for the students of Classes XI and XII on 21 August 2018. The session was presided over by Ms. Pallavi Kumar, the Executive Director of MOHAN Foundation, Delhi NCR. It was absolutely an interactive session with the students where she sensitized them towards understanding the plight of patients living with end stage organ failure and requiring a transplant. The workshop included a comprehensive overview of Organ Transplantation through a video followed by a lucid talk on Brain Death by Ms. Pallavi. The school Principal, Ms. Charu Maini, herself being a donor, also addressed the students on the need of donating organs and saving lives. Students showed their keen interests in becoming a valuable donor to the greater cause of humanity. It was indeed a thought provoking and an inspiring session.
