Ms. Charu Maini, the Principal of the school is a progressive leader who works relentlessly by amalgamating the values of DAV and global novelties. Her outstanding work is a testimony of her tireless dedication and contagious enthusiasm. With over 23 years of hands-on experience in teaching the Senior Secondary classes under the CBSE curriculum and 10 years of management experience at the school level, she strives to create a learning centered environment in which students and educators are actively involved as curators and co-constructors of knowledge. A Post Graduate in Education, Post Graduate in Chemistry from Hindu College, Delhi University, Graduate in Chemistry (Hons.) from the prestigious Miranda House and B.Ed. from the coveted Central Institute of Education, Delhi University, she upholds the education based on innovation and creativity. She is an expert panelist for the nationwide “Teacher Orientation” with CIET-NCERT. As a Resource Person and Master Trainer she has conducted numerous teacher orientation workshops at different forums like- DAV CAE, CTSA-MHRD, CBSE and NCERT. She has also contributed in a wide variety of publications ranging from Primary to Graduation level with National Educational Bodies like NCERT, CBSE and NME-MHRD. For her hard strenuous efforts in taking the education system to a new zenith, she has been conferred with several awards and recognitions. She added another feather to her cap by stepping into the era of leaders who work with the aim of achieving excellence. She has been awarded with ‘Principal Par Excellence Award’ by IIHM, ‘APJ Abdul Kalam Education Excellence Award’ by Indian Solidarity Council and ‘Future 50 Leaders Shaping Success Award’ by Fortune India Magazine and Univariety. Over the years, the school has flowered and bloomed under her dynamic leadership and her flair for art and culture and eye for perfection. She had been actively involved in co-curricular activities during her student life and also during her teaching career. She herself is a talented dramatist and singer.
