Music binds our soul, heart and emotions. It cheers the spirit and lightens the heart. To bring out the singing talent, an Interhouse Solo Singing Competition was organised in DAV Public School on 22 August 2022 for the students of class VI-VIII.

A team of 3 students from each house participated in the competition. Each student prepared a song which was related to a Sustainable Development Goal. The children sang the songs with great passion and confidence. The melodious songs pulled the heartstrings of the audience.

The students were judged on the parameters of Lyrics, Rhythm, Confidence, SDG goal and Overall presentation. The judges “Mr Yogesh” and “Ms Shalini” were mesmerised by the performances.

The winners of the competition were:

1st prize: Ashima Sharma (Shakti house)

2nd prize: Noor Aurora (Jagriti house)

3rd prize: Kavya Saini (Preeti house)

Consolation prize: Kaashvi Singh and Mukul Yadav (Jyoti house)
