On 8th and 9th April 2023, the students of DAV Public School, Uppal's Southend, Sector-49, Gurugram participated in the prestigious NSUTMUN'23 organized by the Netaji Subhash University of Technology in Dwarka, New Delhi. This Model United Nations conference provided an excellent platform for the students to showcase their debating and public speaking skills, as well as hone their abilities in negotiation, research, and analysis.
The school delegation participated in six committees, namely UNGA, UNHRC, INTERPOL, G20, AIPPM, IWC, and IP. The students' participation in the conference was a resounding success, with students receiving accolades for their exceptional performance.
Srishti Singh of X-D was awarded the High Commendation in G20, a testament to her outstanding performance in the committee. She received a well-deserved trophy and a cash prize of Rs. 5000 for her hard work and dedication.
Kushagra Bisht, a creative mind from XII-F, was awarded a Special Mention in Photography-IP for his exceptional skills in capturing the essence of the conference. He received a thoughtful gift hamper for his efforts.
Vanshaj Arora, a student of XII-F, served as the Substantive Director in G20 and was instrumental in ensuring the success of the committee. He received a memento and remuneration for his outstanding contribution.
The event was a tremendous learning experience for all the students who participated. It provided them with an opportunity to interact with like-minded individuals from different schools and backgrounds and learn from each other's perspectives.
