On 22nd and 23rd April 2023, the students of DAV Public School, Uppal's Southend, Sector-49, Gurugram participated in the esteemed Paragon MUN '23 organized by Social House Learning with Evergreen Public School as venue partner. This Model United Nations conference provided an excellent forum for students to hone and showcase their negotiation, debating, research and analysis capabilities.
The school sent a delegation of 5 students to participate in 5 committees, namely, UNGA-DISEC, AIPPM, UNHRC, UNCSW and IPC. The school delegation was an astounding success, with students receiving accolades for their exceptional performance.
Vidula Ganesh, a student of class XI-D was awarded the Best Delegate in the committee UNCSW-2 as a testament to her excellent showing in the committee. She received a trophy and a cash prize of Rs. 4000 as a memento of her hard work. Diya Kumar received special mention.
Sanvitti Bhardwaj of class IX-A received a Verbal Mention, proof of her outstanding performance in the committee UNHRC-2.
The event was a great learning experience for all students who participated. It allowed them to develop their public speaking and debating skills and meet more like-minded people from different schools.
