A kaleidoscope of dynamic cultures and traditions makes India truly incredible. The Primary Wing of DAV Public School, Sector-49, Gurugram celebrated its annual cultural extravaganza the ‘Incredible Indian Odyssey’ on 25.03.23. It was a grand celebration showcasing the beauty, diversity and unity of our country. The program beautifully portrayed the uniqueness and grandeur of India as it took the audience on an odyssey exploring the sights and sounds, awesome attires, cuisines, colourful festivals and glorious past of our great nation.

The program started with the parents’ visit to the ‘Hastkala Aangan’ which displayed the art and handicrafts of various Indian states. The students dressed in state specific costumes spoke about the handicraft items and the specialty of the states represented by them. This was followed by the grand cultural program that showcased the singing, dancing, speaking as well as acting talents of the students. The principal of the school, Ms. Charu Maini addressed the gathering and presented the Annual School Report. She praised the students for their wonderful performances and also thanked the parents for their continued support and cooperation. The chief guest for the day Ms. Monika Mehan, principal ML DAV Public School, Dwarka, Delhi was highly impressed by the spectacular cultural program and praised the efforts of the students and their mentors lavishly. She particularly expressed her views on the vision and mission of DAV schools as a whole and how we aim to create happy well-balanced individuals rather than mere career success and material growth. The function culminated with the ‘Prize Distribution Ceremony’ where the achievements of all the academic prize winners as well as the ‘Sports Day’ winners were appreciated and awarded. The parents were elated to see their wards on the stage and couldn’t stop applauding their wonderful performances. They were full of praise for the teachers and the school management for organising such an amazing program and went home with their hearts full of joy and admiration.
