CLASS III ORIENTATION

 

Education is a shared commitment between teachers, students and  parents. No school can work well for children if parents and teachers do not act in partnership on behalf of the children's best interests.

 

An  Orientation Session was organised for the parents of students of class III on 01.04.2023. The session started with the chanting of the 'Gayatri Mantra' followed by the 'Welcome Song' sung melodiously by the tiny tots of class III.

 

School Principal, Ms.Charu Maini addressed the parents and shared the vision and mission of the DAV organisation and its significance in the spread of quality holistic education in our country since pre-independence times. She acquainted the parents with the DAV organisation's rich legacy of producing strong leaders and winners in all spheres of life, be it politics, the entertainment industry, sports etc. She highlighted the academic as well as co-scholastic achievements of the school in the last 2-3 years and complimented the parents for choosing DAV as their ward's school.  The programme was replete with a captivating dance performance by the students of class III. Supervisory Head of the Primary Wing, Ms. Priya Bhandari showcased the unique learning areas of the school and also apprised parents of important information pertaining to class III such as rules and regulations to be kept in mind, the new assessment policy, activity calendar for the new session  and the facilities provided for education in the school. She introduced the class teachers of class III one by one on the stage and praised them for their wonderful personalities and capabilities as teachers.

 

School Counselor, Ms. Shammi Sawhney took a special interactive session with the parents. She shared effective tips and techniques which will help them in grooming and nurturing their children with love and empowering them with positivity and confidence. It was an insightful session which dealt with the problems of modern day parenting in a fun and creative way. 

 

The program ended on a high note of graciousness and gratitude with high tea  in which the parents interacted with the new teachers.
