"Mental health is not a destination, but a process. It's about how you drive not where you're going"

 

With an objective to give an open platform to the students to express themselves freely, DAV Public School, Uppal's Southend, Sector-49, Gurugram organised a workshop on Mental Health for the students of classes IX and X in a series of four sessions.

 

In this scheme, the in house teacher, Ms. Rupal Arora discussed the different types of stress, anxiety triggers in the student's life. To help them recognise their triggers a 'Hand Activity' was conducted where the students wrote what sets off anxiety and anger in them due to overthinking, little things, environment among others. This helped them identify their apparatus to tackle stress.

 

Our supervisory head, Ms. Chanda Narula, upskilled the students by motivating them towards Social and Adversity Quotient as the first and foremost skill to be developed to have a dynamic, multidimensional personality.

 

The workshop was a real motivator to become self aware and organised.
