Being mindful of this popular saying, the history students of grade 11th were engaged in a hands-on activity relating to their lesson on the Mesopotamian writing system. The children used clay, along with toothpicks and other moulding tools to make their own clay tablets similar in style to the ancient Mesopotamian ones, which induced in them a comprehensive understanding of the process by which people of the ancient civilisation successfully kept their records in writing. The task was an effective approach towards amplifying the students' creativity, and interest while helping introduce pragmatic approaches to learning.
