"VOICING MY OPINION"

DAV Public School, Sector-49, Gurugram, encourages its learners to become thinkers, develop their own views and opinions, and provides them with appropriate platforms to express themselves freely. As a part of the English Carnival Celebration, a Declamation competition titled 'VOICING MY OPINION' was organised for the students of grade V on 28.04.23. It was a selection based competition in which three students from each house participated. The topics for the competition were ‘A child who reads will become an adult who thinks’ and 'The Earth doesn't belong to us, we belong to Earth'. All the participants presented their thoughts on their chosen topic beautifully with conviction. The event gave the students a wonderful opportunity to showcase their interpersonal and communication skills. They impressed the judges as well as the whole audience with the thought-provoking content of their speeches, expression, confidence and overall presentation skills. Not only were they impressive with their oratory skills, but also with their apt getups, amazing props, which added the necessary spark and zing to their presentations. Chhavi Rani (V E) from Kirti house won the First prize, Deanna Rao (V C) from Kirti house won the Second prize, Jenica Yadav (V B) from Jyoti house and Saanvi Thakran (V E) from Shakti house won the Third prize, Yana Gupta (V A) from Preeti house and Shanaya Yadav (V C) from Kirti house won the Encouragement prize.
