Little hearts of Grade-I of DAV Public School, Sector 49, Gurugram, put up its latest edition of the glittering dance drama, ‘Ramayana-The Saga of Lord Shri Ram’ on 19th October 2023 in the school premises. The musical presentation was replete with powerful dialogues, excellent acting skills, dazzling costumes and universal life lessons interspersed with beautiful song sequences.The festivity began with the lamp lighting ceremony by the honorable members of management committee of DAVPS, Sec-49, Gurugram, Chief Guest Mr Yogesh Munjal, Vice President- DAVCMC and Vice Chairman LMC,Guests of honour Mr VP Bajaj, Chairman of building subcommittee, Dr DV Sethi and Dr DS Sharma members of LMC, Manager of the school, Ms Adarsh Kohli, Principal Mrs. Charu Maini and other esteemed guests.
Mr. Munjal, the honored Chief Guest of the day, commended the young students for their captivating presentation and shared valuable words of guidance and motivation. He was entranced by the stagecraft of our talented young actors, feeling transported to the "Treta Yug" as the Ramayana episodes came to life on stage.In her speech, the school’s manager praised and commended the school for an energetic and spirited day.Ms Charu Maini, the school principal, motivated and encouraged young students while enriching their minds with the profound teachings of the Ramayana. She emphasised that the Ramayana isn't merely a narrative; it serves as an educational tool to convey the significance of values like love, respect for parents and family, gratitude, brotherhood, duty, and devotion. Furthermore, she highlighted its relevance in fostering 21st-century skills such as collaboration, creative and critical thinking, problem-solving, and perseverance. She also stressed that the Ramayana contributes to holistic development, encompassing the five dimensions known as "panchkosha vikas": physical, life force energy, mind, intellectual, and inner self.One of the highlights of the day was the Prize Distribution Ceremony, recognising numerous dynamic and deserving students who had demonstrated their abilities in various in-house and interschool competitions.They were lauded with certificates and prizes.The vote of thanks was delivered by the Supervisory Head, Ms. Timsy Bhatia, where she expressed her heartfelt appreciation to the guests, principal, teachers, students, and parents.Our exceptional students, shining like stars, won over every heart with their outstanding performance.
