Adolescence is a period of life with specific health and developmental needs and rights. It is also a time to develop knowledge and skills, learn to manage emotions and relationships, and acquire attributes and abilities that will be important for enjoying the adolescent years and assuming adult roles.

On 6 November 2023, DAV Public School, Sector-49, Gurugram organized a special workshop on 'Adolescence' for the girls of grades 5 and 6. Dr. Meenakshi Ganjoo, the school physician, conducted the workshop and shed light on various aspects of female adolescence, such as physical and mental well-being during puberty and interplay of hormones, tips for maintaining hygiene, overcoming body shaming and nutrition and diet. The interactive session culminated with a Q/A round in which all the queries of the students were answered. It was a fruitful session that was highly appreciated by all the students.
