Being green means taking steps, big or small, as an individual or as a community to preserve our planet by becoming environmentally conscious and by reducing our carbon footprints. The need of the hour is to adopt a holistic approach to protect the environment and get everyone, especially youngsters to work towards conservation.

DAV Public School, Sector-49, Gurugram has always encouraged young minds to think and act green. On 3 November 2023, an inter-house competition titled ‘VOICE OF GREEN CRUSADERS’ was organised for the students of classes III to V. It was a group enactment competition in which 4 to 6 students from each house presented a skit on themes like – ‘Save Soil’, ‘Save Environment’, ‘Save earth’, ‘Save Water’ etc. Each house highlighted a theme related to the environment through their dramatic presentation. The skits explored various aspects of environmental issues faced in the present-day world and also sought to provide viable solutions to those issues in order to create a sustainable future for all. All the houses presented vivid, powerful, suitably compelling skits that left the judges as well as the audience spellbound. Participants of Jagriti house won the First prize, participants of Kirti house won the Second prize and participants of Preeti house won the Third prize. Shannatte Maria from IV C was rewarded the prize for best attire, Kanha Singla from IV C won the best character prize and Saisha Sachdeva from IV E won the prize for best dialogue delivery.
