DAV Public School, Uppal's Southend, Sector-49 Gurugram hosted Valedictory Ceremony of Cyber Hackathon 2023 in collaboration with Cyber Crime Department Gurugram, Haryana Police. The event unfolded as a resounding success on December 27, 2023 at the Multipurpose Hall of the school. It began with a solemn Lamp Lighting Ceremony, accompanied by the chanting of the Gayatri Mantra, infusing the day with auspicious energy. The Principal, Ms. Charu Maini, extended a gracious welcome to the esteemed Chief Guest, Mr. Siddhant Jain, IPS, DCP South Gurugram, Guest of Honor, Mr. Vipin Kumar Ahlawat, ACP Cyber Crime, and distinguished Cyber Expert, Mr. Rakshit Tandon and other esteemed dignitaries.
Mr. Rakshit Tandon, a revered Cyber Security Evangelist, imparted invaluable insights to the children, enlightening them about cyber crime and offering guidance on how to safeguard themselves in the digital world. During the event, the Haryana Police delivered a unique presentation, introducing Cyber Tau. The Chief Guest graciously presented a memento to Cyber Tau, emphasising its significance in addressing cybercrime, marking the importance of remembering its role in combating digital threats. The cultural program featured an enchanting dance performance by the students of the host school, adding a delightful touch to the event. Along with this, students also presented an insightful skit on Data Protection Law, contributing to the overall meaningfulness and vibrancy of the occasion. The felicitation of the school Principal, Ms. Charu Maini, Cyber Security Officers, Cyber Experts, and Social Media Influencers, along with recognition for brands like ICICI and Paytm supporting cyber awareness; by the honourable Chief Guest, underscored the collaborative spirit of the occasion. Recognising the contribution of the Give Back to Gurugram (GBTG) team served as a poignant reminder of the community's indispensable role in spearheading and championing cyber awareness.
Fifty schools from Delhi NCR actively participated in the grand event. The highlight of the occasion was the prize distribution ceremony. Winners from engaging competitions such as Caption Canvas Carnival, Hack the Stage, Golden Guardian App Jam, and Cipher Clash Code Carnival were felicitated for their outstanding achievements.
The event concluded with the school's Head Boy expressing gratitude through the vote of thanks, followed by the rendition of the National Anthem. The program symbolised a collective commitment to awareness and shared responsibility within the realm of cybersecurity.
