DAV Public School, Sector-49, Gurugram marked the conclusion of the 'DAV Sports National Level' with a splendid valedictory ceremony, showcasing enthusiasm and grandeur, in the Kho Kho and Chess Championship events.Organized under the DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi, and recognized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports Government of India, the event brought together around 800 young enthusiasts from various DAV schools nationwide. The ceremony began with a soulful vandana, followed by a warm welcome from the school's Principal, Ms Charu Maini.The event was graced by the presence of Shri. Prabodh Mahajan, Vice president DAVCMC and Chairman DAV Public School Sector 14 and 49, as the chief guest.He delivered a motivating address to the students. His words of wisdom and encouragement resonated throughout the hall, inspiring a sense of determination and sportsmanship.The presence of Ms Aparna Erry, Principal of DAVPS, Sec-14, Gurugram, added prestige to the ceremony. The pinnacle of excitement unfolded with the announcement of championship results, where winners were honored with medals and trophies, recognizing their hard work.
In Kho Kho Girls:
Under-14 category: Jharkhand Team emerged as the winner, with Himachal and Haryana Team securing the 1st and 2nd Runners up positions.Under-17 category:Ap/Telangana/Karnataka secured the victory, with Haryana and Jharkhand Team as the 1st and 2nd Runners up.Under-19 category: Jharkhand Team claimed the title, while Himachal and Bihar Team secured the 1st and 2nd Runner up positions respectively.
Chess Tournament Girls:
Under-14 category: DAV Global School, Patiala, Punjab emerged victorious, with DAV High School, Warangal, Telangana, and DAV Public School, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra as the 1st & 2nd Runners up.Under-17 category: Odisha zonal team clinched the win, with Haryana zonal team and Punjab zonal team as the 1st and 2nd Runners up respectively.Under-19 category: DAV Public School, Sector 14, Gurugram secured the victory, with Haryana zonal team and Delhi zonal team as the 1st and 2nd Runners up. The evening concluded with a harmonious rendition of the National Anthem, uniting everyone in a moment of patriotic pride and solidarity.
