In an emotionally surcharged atmosphere inside the Auditorium Hall of DAV Public School, Uppal’s Southend, Sec 49, Gurugram , Team DAV bid adieu to class twelfth students of 2023-24 batch, at a splendid farewell function held on 16 January 2024.
The Farewell program commenced with a warm welcome to the respected Principal, Ms Charu Maini and the Senior Supervisory Head , Ms Pooja Yadav and of course to the outgoing batch of class 12. The day witnessed all the senior students of the school dressed in beautiful and colorful formal attire and all set to enjoy a fun-filled afternoon with their peer-group. Speeches echoed gratitude for the shared memories and expressed hopes for a bright future. The hall resonated with laughter and tears as students recounted anecdotes and shared heartfelt messages. As the day unfolded, it became a canvas of memories painted with smiles, hugs, and the promise to stay connected. For the fun and entertainment of the senior students, class XI had prepared various cultural items such as dance performances and skit , which were thoroughly enjoyed by all. The extravagant celebrations continued by the rendition of a melodious number by the school Band group.The foot tapping music played by the DJ along with the variety of sumptuous food laid out by the catering department, were treats enjoyed and relished by all.
Seniors were awarded and congratulated with songs/ messages sung by Grade XI. Vanshaj Arora and Tejal Janghu were crowned as students of the year. The other coveted titles conferred were Mr. Versatile –Shivam Dahiya , Ms. Versatile – Riya Wason , Mr. Dignified –Ayushman Sinha , Ms. Graceful – Vani Goel , Mr. Eloquence – Himanshu Garg , Ms. Eloquence –Preksha Pachauri, Mr. Congenial – Kartik Saxena, Ms. Congenial – Sanchi Singhal along with special mention for Tanishq Aggarwal for his zeal to compete. The titles given to them made the whole environment nostalgic.
The farewell ceremony for the Class XII students was a poignant event filled with emotions and reflections. As the event concluded, teary-eyed goodbyes echoed, encapsulating the essence of camaraderie forged over the years. The day came to an end with best wishes conferred upon the departing class by the Principal Ms. Charu Maini marking the end of a chapter and the commencement of new horizons.
