Poetry, as Wordsworth has described, is the "spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings," and listening to it is always an inspirational experience.

On 14 May 2024, DAV Public School, Sector-49, Gurugram, held a 'Poem Recitation' competition for Class III and IV students. Each house presented three students eager to showcase their poetic talents.

The poems recited by students navigated through ecological issues, celebrated nature and India, highlighted women's perspectives, and conveyed messages of hope. The students impressed the judges with their poem choices, recitation skills, and confident performances, enhanced by vibrant costumes and props.

Arshika Rastogi (IV D) from Jyoti won the First prize, Yahavi Deera (III F) from Jagriti House won the Second prize, Ridaan Rathi (IV D) from Shakti House won the Third prize,Chehak Yadav(IV E) from Preeti house won the Encouragement prize.
