DAV Public School, Sector 49, Gurugram hosted the Valedictory ceremony of the 6th edition of the inter-school IT fest ‘Tinker in E-Colosseum’ on 16th July 2024. The event not only aimed to provide insight into the modern world and its unique challenges but also sought to sensitize students about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for peaceful and prosperous growth for all. The event witnessed an overwhelming participation of around 700 students from 56 schools across Gurugram and Delhi NCR.

The event comprised 11 exhilarating online competitions and 4 exciting offline competitions. Each event was a testament to the creativity and innovation of the participants. The competitive spirit was evident, but so was the camaraderie and the spirit of learning together. The ceremony began with a warm welcome for the esteemed guests for the day Mr. Pankaj Kumar Jha, Google Certified Cloud Digital Leader, Ms. Sonal Gupta, Founder, CyberPort Foundation, Ms. Urvashi Maini, specialist in Data Handling and AI, Ms. Anshu Priya, kathak exponent, Mr. Aryan Jain, Vice- President, CyberPort Foundation, and Mr Chirag Bhagat, Co- Founder GBTG, Ms. Ashna, an experienced entrepreneur and Mr. Kartik from Mission 100. The guests were honored with mementos, setting the tone for an inspiring afternoon. It was followed by a soulful rendition of "Bhoomi Mangalam” which was a beautiful homage to the spirit of the panch tatvas.

The revered Principal, Ms. Charu Maini, proposed the welcome address and encouraged the students to dream big, innovate, and embrace the future with confidence. Her counsels highlighted the importance of innovation, collaboration, and creativity in today's world, emphasizing the role of such events in nurturing these skills among students. Next, Mr. Kartik shared valuable insights, and motivated the students to continue their journey of exploration and learning.

The highlight of the day was the prize distribution ceremony. The excitement in the air was tangible as winners were announced and trophies were handed over. The winners were awarded in different categories,i.e Docu-Drama, Code Craft Gaming, Animation X, Blend Rush, 3DesignDynamic, App-a-Thon, Digital Dream Scapes, Elev8 Pitch, Decode to Learn, Playoffs, Tech Trivia, Bot Brawl, Tech Attire, Beats to the Byte, and Perspective. The winners’ beaming faces were a testament to their hard work and dedication. Prize distribution was followed by performances of the winners of the "Beats to the Byte" dance event, which left the audience spellbound.

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks from the Head Boy. He expressed gratitude towards the esteemed guests, principal ma'am, mentors, organizers, and participants for making the event a magnificent success.
