DAV Public School, Uppal’s Southend, Sector-49, Gurugram organized an exclusive fashion event, a first for our school-Prismatica’24 on 14 August 2024, showcasing the creative talents of grade XI and XII students . This event, held in the school's auditorium, was a celebration of style, creativity, and teamwork, as students worked together to put on an impressive display of fashion.The theme of this year's fashion show was"PRISMATICA," which encouraged participants to explore thematic elements like culture, nature, futuristic designs, etc.

The show opened with a green welcome of our esteemed guest of honour for the day, Mrs. Gagandeep Kaur (HOD Fashion Studies, DAV school sector-14) by our respectable Principal ma’am, Mrs.Charu Maini. Then to set the event with a positive and Devine vibe, the entire assembly recited the Gaytri Mantra. Followed by this we had runway presentations in which there are Four powerful themes which depicted a strong message and depth to the meaning behind its construction. 

Our First theme, “Conscious Couture”  is an amalgamation of fashion collection which focused on sustainable fashion, with outfits made from recycled materials, showcasing creativity and environmental awareness. This theme was based on SDG- 12, “Responsible consumption and Production”.

Second theme, “RETRO GLAM”, featured a "Retro Revival" theme, bringing back iconic styles from the 70s, 80s, and 90s with a modern twist. This theme was based on SDG- 4, “Quality Education”.

Third theme , “AGNI AURA”, presented the cutting-edge designs with bold warm colors, vibrancy and avant-garde silhouettes. It symbolises strength, fire, life and power. This theme was based on SDG-15, “Life on Land”

Lastly to walk the ramp was our theme, “ADORN TRIBES”, was dedicated to tribal attire, where students modeled clothing from various tribal communities, promoting diversity and inclusivity. This theme was based on SDG-8, “Decent Work and Economic Growth”.

A panel of judges, including teachers and guest professionals from the fashion industry, evaluated the collections based on creativity, execution, and adherence to the theme. Awards were given for best Overall Collection and most Innovative Design

The principal Ms Charu Maini commended the fashion show as a celebration of creativity and collaboration, showcasing the students' talent and teamwork.
