On 21st September 2024, DAV Public School, Sector 49, Gurugram organized a comprehensive CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) training for its faculty and support staff. The session aimed at equipping participants with vital skills to respond efficiently during emergency scenarios.

The workshop was spearheaded by the school doctor, Ms. Meenakshi Gunjoo, in collaboration with professionals from Medanta, The Medicity, Gurugram. Certified BLS (Basic Life Support) clinical instructor, Ms. Bharti, led the training. The training began with an insightful session on the significance of CPR and the various circumstances where it is essential.

The trainer demonstrated proper CPR techniques tailored for different age groups, including infants, children, and adults, using mannequins. Thereafter, participants were given an opportunity to practice these techniques along with individualized guidance and constructive feedback. The hands-on training, combined with the expertise of the Medanta team, allowed the attendees to build confidence and competence in administering CPR.

Additionally, Ms. Bharti addressed the queries of attendees, elaborating the importance of first aid and how prompt actions can prevent further injuries and save lives in emergencies. Principal,  Ms. Charu Maini’s address was a poignant reminder of how well-trained individuals can make a significant difference during critical situations, fostering a culture of preparedness and compassion.

This initiative not only enhanced the skills of the entire staff but also nurtured a sense of responsibility, care, and readiness to act during life-threatening situations, ultimately promoting a safer environment for one and all.
