CHESS COMPETITION(III-V)

Chess is a thought provoking mind game that boosts planning skills, elevates creativity and improves memory. DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL, SECTOR-49, GURUGRAM organised an Inter House Chess tournament for the students of class III on 16.10.24 and class IV and V on 15.10.24. It was a selection based competition where a huge number of students participated in the selection rounds. Four participants from each house were selected for the final competition. All the finalists seemed to be seasoned chess players and impressed the judges with their riveting strategies, mental strength, and tenacity. The matches were full of smart and deft moves and astute planning that beautifully showcased the mental maturity and critical thinking skills of the young chess players. From class III Vansh (III A) from Neeti house and Pihu Gaurav (III D) from Shakti house won the First prize, Riyansh (III C) from Neeti house and Vaibhavi (III D) from Preeti house won the Second prize, Varad (III F) from Preeti house and Rishita (III A) from Kirti house won the Third prize.

From classes IV-V Rohan (IV A) from Neeti house and Aarvi Chaudhary (V D) from Shakti house won the First prize, Shaunak (V D) and Vaishnavi (V B) both from Preeti house won the Second prize, Ayansh (V D) from Preeti house and Kashvi (V E) from Kirti house won the Third prize.
