GURU NANAK DEV JI BIRTH ANNIVERSARY
To honour the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of Sikhism, the students of Class 1& 2 had a joyful and spiritual celebration of Gurupurab in the school premises. The school was filled with enthusiasm and devotion as everyone came together to remember the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.The day began with a beautiful morning procession (Prabhat Pheri). The Principal of the school, the Supervisory Head, Teachers alongwith our young devotees walked around the school singing hymns and shabads (holy songs), playing instruments like dhol, tambourine, dafli etc spreading the message of love and peace. The atmosphere was filled with devotion as they chanted prayers.After the Prabhat Pheri, the children gathered in their classrooms, where teachers discussed and showed stories about the life of Guru Nanak Dev Ji explaining his important teachings. They spoke about the three main principles -
*Naam Japna* (Remembering God),
*Kirat Karni* (Hard work and honest Living) ,
*Vand Chakna* (Sharing with Others).
The children listened attentively and learned valuable lessons about being kind, honest and helping others.The celebration ended with the distribution of *Kadah Prasad* (sweet offering). The children shared the prasad with each other, symbolizing equality and the spirit of togetherness. It was a lovely way to conclude the event, reminding everyone of the importance of sharing and caring.The Gurupurab celebration was a wonderful experience for the students, helping them understand the significance of the festival and the timeless teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
