A teacher affects eternity; they can never tell where their influence stops." – Henry Brooks Adams The campus of DAV Public School, Uppal’s Southend, Sector-49, Gurugram, reverberated with enthusiasm and inspiration on 18 January 2025, as it hosted a momentous Inspirational Session and Felicitation Ceremony of National Teachers Awardee, Mrs Charu Maini, Principal, DAV Public, School, Sec-49, Gurugram, organised by the DAV College Managing Committee. The event was graced by Padma Shri Dr. Punam Suri Ji, President of DAV College Managing Committee, and brought together over 1000 teachers and principals from DAV schools across Delhi NCR. This transformative occasion aimed to inspire and empower educators to uphold Vedic and ethical values in their teaching. Esteemed dignitaries, including Padma Shri Dr. Punam Suri Ji, President of DAV College Managing Committee, along with his wife Mrs. Mani Suri; Shri Prabodh Mahajan Ji, Vice President DAVCMC and Chairman of DAV Schools Gurugram; Shri Yogesh Munjal Ji, Vice President DAVCMC and Vice Chairman of DAV Public School, Sec-49, Gurugram; Justice Pritam Pal Ji; Shri Anil Rao Ji; Dr. Harsh Mahajan; Dr. Rana, Vice Presidents of DAVCMC; Dr. Nisha Peshin, Director Academics DAVCMC and DAVCAE; Dr. V Singh, Director Public Schools; Mr. S K Sharma, Advisor (Publication Division) DAVCMC; Mrs Adarsh Kohli, Manager DAV Public School, Sec-49, Gurugram and members of the Local Managing Committee (LMC) added prestige to the event. The school premises, adorned with vibrant decorations, created a reverent and celebratory ambiance. The event began with the recital of the DAV Gaan, followed by a dance highlighting the importance of guru by students of grades IV and V. A sacred lamp was lit amid the chanting of the Gayatri Mantra, symbolising wisdom and enlightenment. Padma Shri Dr. Punam Suri Ji and the dignitaries were warmly welcomed with saplings and shawls as tokens of respect and appreciation.  The highlight of the event was the felicitation of Mrs. Charu Maini, for receiving the prestigious National Teacher Award 2024. Mrs. Adarsh Kohli, Manager of DAV Public School, Sec-49, Gurugram, read the citation in honour of Mrs. Maini’s outstanding achievements in education. As the dignitaries presented a bouquet, memento, shawl, and citation as tokens of appreciation, the campus echoed with victory claps, celebrating the outstanding achievement of an exceptional educator. Among 50 educators selected nationwide, Mrs. Maini was one of the two awardees from CBSE-affiliated schools, a testament to her remarkable contributions to education. Padma Shri Dr. Punam Suri Ji also congratulated Mr. Kapil Maini, husband of Mrs Charu Maini for his unwavering support to his wife. In his address, Dr. Suri emphasised the importance of a positive mindset, stepping out of comfort zones, and surrounding oneself with like-minded individuals for growth and success. He shared the "Five P's" as guiding principles for life: Pledge to give your best, Purusharth to work with dedication, Pray for wisdom and strength, Pratiksha to practice patience, and Prapti to trust that efforts yield deserving outcomes. His inspirational words resonated deeply with the audience, urging educators to embrace persistence, resilience, and values in their journey. Dr Suri left everyone with a thought- the best is yet to come. The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Mrs. Charu Maini, who expressed her gratitude to Padma Shri Dr. Punam Suri Ji and the esteemed dignitaries. The event left an indelible mark on everyone present, reinforcing the profound role of educators in shaping the future.
