The valedictory Ceremony of Conferencia ’25 was held with great enthusiasm and dignity at DAV Public School, Sector-49, Gurugram, marking the successful culmination of two days of intense debate, diplomacy, and dialogue. The event brought together over 800 participants, including delegates, Executive Board members, Secretariat, and dignitaries from across the country.
The ceremony commenced with the green welcome of Shri Prabodh Mahajan Ji, Vice President DAVCMC and Chairman of the DAV Schools Gurugram, by Principal Ms. Charu Maini. He was presented with a potted plant, symbolizing sustainability and the school’s commitment to growth and harmony with nature. This was followed by a graceful welcome dance based on the G20 theme, celebrating the spirit of unity, diplomacy, and global collaboration.
Principal Ms. Charu Maini expressed heartfelt gratitude to all delegates, dignitaries, and participating schools for making Conferencia ’25 a resounding success. She specially thanked Shri Prabodh Mahajan Ji for his unwavering guidance and support. Reflecting on the journey, she emphasized how the conference taught students valuable lessons in crisis management, leadership, and collaborative problem-solving. Acknowledging the overwhelming participation of 650 delegates, she also extended her thanks to the principals of all participating schools for their enthusiastic support.
The highlight of the ceremony was the prize distribution, where Best Delegate Awards, High Commendations, Special Mentions and verbal mentions were given across all 11 committees. The joy and excitement among the winners reflected their dedication and the spirited discussions that took place throughout the conference.
Special titles were also presented to participating schools. The coveted Best Delegation Trophy was awarded to Delhi Public School, Sector-45, Gurugram, for their exceptional performance, preparedness, and teamwork across various committees.
Shri Prabodh Mahajan Ji, in his address, applauded the school’s efforts in conducting such a large-scale academic simulation. He highlighted the importance of nurturing critical thinking and communication skills in students and praised the participants for their awareness of global issues. He encouraged them to continue engaging with such platforms that shape responsible future leaders. He also spoke about the true meaning of being an Arya, stressing the importance of noble thoughts (vichar), the need to become good human beings, and urged the students to come out of their cocoons and reduce dependency on mobile phones.
The ceremony also witnessed the release of the official MUN newsletter, Synergy, a vibrant compilation capturing key moments, quotes, committee summaries, and behind-the-scenes glimpses of Conferencia ’25.
Mr. Khushmeet Narwal, President of Conferencia ’25 expressed joy in seeing the legacy continue with such dedication and spirit.
Secretary General Ms. Srishti Singh addressed the gathering with heartfelt gratitude, thanking the honourable Chairperson of school, Sh. Prabodh Mahajan ji, Principal, Ms. Charu Maini, Secretariat, Executive Board, and delegates for turning the vision of Conferencia ’25 into a reality. She reflected on the journey of planning and executing the event, acknowledging the passion and perseverance that made it a success. Her words resonated with pride and appreciation for the collaborative spirit that defined the conference.
Finally, with a sense of accomplishment and optimism, Deputy Secretary General Ms. Vanshika Bhatia formally declared the meet closed, marking the end of a truly inspiring chapter.
