INTER-HOUSE SOUVENIR MAKING COMPETITION (III-V)
“Art is the window to the culture of a nation.”
The rich cultural heritage of India was beautifully celebrated at DAV Public School, Sector–49, Gurugram, during the Inter-House Souvenir Making Competition held on 12TH August 2025 for Classes III to V. The theme, “My Nation, My Pride,” inspired students to explore and express the unique identity of different Indian states through creative souvenir designs.
A team of three students from each house, representing Classes III, IV, and V, collaborated by dividing their tasks thoughtfully and combining their individual strengths to create beautiful and meaningful souvenirs. This teamwork fostered not only creativity and artistic expression but also essential life skills such as cooperation, planning, communication, and time management among the young learners.
The competition encouraged participants to research and represent five significant elements of their chosen state, helping them develop a deeper understanding and appreciation of India’s diverse traditions, landmarks, and cultural richness. Through this process, students cultivated a strong sense of national pride and cultural awareness.
The event provided a platform for students to showcase their originality, imagination, and dedication. The judges appreciated the enthusiasm, attention to detail, and creativity demonstrated by every team. Overall, the competition was a vibrant celebration of patriotism, collaboration, and cultural appreciation, leaving a lasting impact on all the participants. Jagriti house won the First prize, Shakti house won the Second prize, Kirti house won the Third prize, Preeti and Jyoti house jointly won the Encouragement prize.
